Andrés Alejandro

El Sentimiento de México

Andrés Alejandro is a Mexican singer, songwriter, author and live performer from Puebla. He is known as El Sentimiento de México, “the feeling of Mexico”: a voice that connects Latin identity, international music and emotional storytelling.

He grew up listening to Julio Iglesias, Luis Miguel, Emmanuel and Alejandro Fernández, artists who did more than sing: they told the stories people carried inside without knowing how to say them. His calling took shape at Universidad de las Américas Puebla, where he studied International Relations and founded his first band.

His recording journey began in Miami, where he recorded his first production under the direction of Tulio Cremisini, a producer with a track record at Universal Music. He then released Yo Soy, produced by David Benítez, an album of Latin pop with introspective lyrics. He is now recording a new album of original material, with arrangements by Salo Loyo.

On stage

Live, he blends Latin pop, international classics and contemporary arrangements in large-format productions with a live band, LED screens and lighting designed so the audience does not just watch the show, but lives it. He has performed at the Auditorio Metropolitano and the Museo Internacional del Barroco in Puebla.

His shows—Clásicos sin Fronteras, the Tribute to Julio Iglesias and Raíces de América—are designed for theaters, auditoriums, festivals and corporate events.

Music, public service and purpose

His career also includes public service and social entrepreneurship: he served as Director of Funds for Social Enterprises at Mexico's Ministry of Economy and as the first Director General of the National Association of Microfinance Institutions and Funds.

That experience shapes a conviction that runs through all his work: culture can create measurable social impact. It is the origin of México y sus Causas, the initiative through which every concert leaves a tangible benefit, starting with the fight against hunger alongside the Puebla and Tlaxcala Food Bank.

Beyond music

His work continues in literature. Under his literary name, Andrés Rodríguez, he published the novel El Señor de las Palomas, available in six languages. Songs from his new album are inspired by its pages: music and book belong to the same universe.

Based in Puebla, Mexico. Available internationally.
